Nobody will Trust APC Again Until … – Dalung

More Nigerians continue to speak on the security situation in the country with former Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung saying that nobody will trust APC again until it fulfils its promise of providing security to the citizenry.

Dalung, one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s strong supporters from the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC in an interview said that the APC has lots its reputation in the eyes of Nigerians.

Dalung lamented that traveling in the North is now a risky venture.

He said the APC has failed on one of it’s promises to address the remnant insecurity challenges in the country, particularly in the North a reason he gave for which according to him nobody will trust APC again until it fulfilled its election promise.

Speaking on Hausa service of the BBC on Saturday, Dalung said that nobody will trust the party again until changes are made.

“What type of government is this that you have to pay bandits before they allow you to go to farm? What will be the future of the North if you have to pay bandits for you to access your own farm?

“Now it is not easy for one to travel in the North. The security challenges have put doubts and fear in many people. For you to travel now you have to pray and fast for your safe return,” he said.

“We struggled for this government to come to power but it could not satisfy our needs. We have said the truth on the past governments and this is our government and we have to say the truth no matter what. It is our responsibility to tell our government the truth.”
