Buhari Returns To UK

Muhammadu  Buhari is proceeding on a ten-day vacation to the United Kingdom the presidency announced on Thursday morning.

The vacation is to commence after an official visit to Borno State, presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina said.

Past visits by the president to the United Kingdom had been mostly devoted to obtaining medical attention for yet undisclosed health issues. The visits had mostly been couched as private visits.

Besides attending to his health the president is expected to use the time in the UK to also ponder over decisions to be taken as concerning his second term.

Announcing the imminent visit following the visit to Borno State, Adesina said: “He (Buhari) is expected to commission developmental projects especially in the sectors of education, healthcare and roads.

“At the end of the visit, President Buhari will be proceeding to the United Kingdom on a private visit. He is expected to return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019.”
