All My Second Term Aides Must Be Farmers – Udom Emmanuel

All prospective cabinet members and senior aides of the governor of Akwa Ibom State must be ready to own farms in the state, Governor Udom Emmanuel pronounced on Sunday.

Leading by example, the governor said that he had already set up a banana farm in Ini Local Government Area of the state.

The governor spoke during a Sunday worship service at the Full Life Christian Center, Uyo.

“I have a personal banana farm in Ini Local Government Area which employs so many people. I am not sure if I have eaten a finger of it. So, before you get an appointment, you must show us your farm, because I am leading by example.”, the governor said.

While urging parents to put their wards to hard work which he said pays in the long run, he said:

“Jesus Christ showed us the way when he commanded someone to give him two fish and five loaves of bread. So, he showed us that there should be a first point of contact before the blessing and miracle. 

“The present economic situation in the country requires everyone to evolve a tangible sustainable development efforts to change the narrative. So, everyone is involved including the Church in this mind renewal. We must work”, he said.

Senior Pastor of the church, Rev. Ntia I. Ntia in his homily flayed at the lust of the present generation which according to him has destroyed future of many people.
