JAMB Official Who Claimed Snake Ate N36 Million Admitted To N20 Million Bail

An official of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Mrs. Philomina Chieshe who claimed that N36.5 million belonging to the agency was swallowed by a snake”as a result of manipulation from the Kingdom of Darkness” has been remanded in prison pending meeting bail conditions.

Mrs. Chieshe a staff of the Makurdi branch of JAMB was remanded on the order of an Abuja High Court presided over by Justice Peter Affen sitting in Maitama on Monday.

Justice Affen had ruled on Monday that she be remanded in Suleja prison pending when she is able to meet her bail obligations which includes a deposit of N20 million.

The EFCC which arraigned her along with the Benue State Coordinator of JAMB, Mr. Samuel Umoru, were alleged to have committed criminal breach of trust in failing to remit proceeds from the sale of e-cards used in procuring JAMB forms in the state.
