The emergence of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has reignited fresh crisis in the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC as the faction he belongs to on Thursday warned the rival faction against alleged threats to his life.

The rival faction of the APC in Delta State is led by Olorogun Otega Emerhor who contested for the APC Delta Central Senatorial ticket with Omo-Agege. The contest over the recognized faction is still a subject of litigation.

The present face off arose after a chieftain of the rival faction allegedly put a posting on facebook where he alleged that Omo-Agege would end up like General Sani Abacha.

Responding to the posting allegedly made by Olorogun Jaro Egbo, the director of communications in the state chapter of the party Nick Ovuakporie said:

“The APC wish to sound a note of warning to all such disgruntled elements in the class of Olorogun Jaro Egbo to desist henceforth from desecrating the office and person of the Deputy Senate President, Federal Republic of Nigeria as the Party will not condone such crass display of lawlessness any more and will do everything legally permissable under the constitution of the APC to deal with any form of threats and campaigns of calumny.

The party reminded Egbo on how he and his allies reportedly helped to wreck the fortunes of the party in the state.

The statement added that Olorogun Jaro Egbo and his sponsors are the real Goliath who hijacked 99.1% of all Federal appointments that came to Delta State including the NDDC whose resources, they have consistently used to oppress the peace loving members of the Party and it’s very existence in Delta State through which, they procured a judgement in the Federal High Court Asaba, that has now been quashed by the Court of Appeal, Benin City.

The party thanked God for putting to shame the devious actions of its enemies whose sole aim was to destroy all it has laboured for in it’s course to entrench progressives ideologies and to assist President Muhammadu Buhari, to move Nigeria, to the next level.
