Governor Yahaya Bello has said that he would not regard anyone contesting the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship ticket with him as an enemy saying he had every confidence of winning the ticket irrespective of what manner of primaries used in picking the candidate.

He spoke on Saturday at a stakeholders’ meeting of APC chieftains at the party secretariat in Lokoja

While observing that the party membership under his leadership as the Party leader in the State, had increased tremendously, he said that it was a reflection of what he claimed as the trust of the people in his leadership. He thus promised not to disappoint.

The governor, however, pointed out that any individual who has indicated interest to contest in the primaries should not be stopped, as the party was an attractive winning team but assured that no one could defeat him.

He advised that Party Stakeholders should not cast aspersions on such persons saying that allowing them would increase what he described as the party’s large membership base.

Governor Bello said the State as always preached a message of inclusiveness and oneness not withstanding party, ethnic or religious differences stating that anyone who wished to contest with him at the primaries should not be seen as an enemy.
