In a move that has sparked controversy and amusement in equal measure, former Senator Dino Melaye has taken a swipe at former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello with a cleverly crafted social media post.

Melaye shared a picture of a chicken with a lion’s face, captioning it “All Hail the White Lion Chicken” – a clear jibe at Bello, who was famously hailed as the “White Lion” during his time in power.

The social media post is the latest salvo in a long-running political feud between Dino Melaye and Bello, who have been at loggerheads for years. It comes as Bello faces mounting legal troubles, with the EFCC declaring him wanted over alleged financial misappropriation and the AIG ordering the withdrawal of all police officers attached to him. The Immigration Service has also placed him on a watchlist.

The post by Senator Dino Melaye has sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with many praising his wit and creativity. Others have, however, criticized the post as petty and unbecoming of a former senator. Regardless, it’s clear that the political bad blood between Melaye and Bello shows no signs of abating anytime soon.
