Aisha Confirms Video: I Was The One

First Lady Aisha Buhari has confirmed herself to be the person in the video of a woman raving in the presidential villa but claimed the video was an old one and not recent as mischief-makers tended to insinuate.

She made the clarification when speaking with reporters as she responded to rumours that had lately swirled around her and the state of her marriage.

The country’s First Lady also used the opportunity to thank her husband for approving the appointment of six special assistants and personal assistants she said will help her take care of her home and also focus on her duties as First Lady of the country.

Nigeria’s very cheerful First Lady even taunted the reporter as he brought up the matter of the rumours jabbing him, that there were a lot of rumours going round but the reporter settled on the rumour of the lady raving in the villa.

“Rumours of what? You have to indicate because there are so many rumours.

“As you can see (pointing to the aircraft) I have just arrived with the British Airways.

“The video is an old video, the event happened, it was me, actually it happened in the villa,” she said.

She went on to thank Nigerians for their prayers for her and Mr. President as she spoke on the circumstances that took her out of the country for two months.

“Last year if you could remember I was in Spain for two months with my daughter. I do not abandon my children, I give them the motherly support that they need. Normally we go on holidays for six weeks. I have taken my holiday for this year and it happened that after my holiday I needed to attend to my health on doctor’s instruction before going to Saudi and when I went to Saudi and based on the doctor’s instruction, I went back to UK.

“I am well now, but I still need more rest.

I want to use this opportunity to thank my husband for approving six S.A.s and PAs for my office to allow me attend to the home front and to some developmental needs for women and children.”
