Ganduje invitation dollar video

The controversial video clips which supposedly portrayed Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State collecting dollars are not enough to compel the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC to commence an investigation, a Federal High Court in Kano ruled on Monday.

Justice Obiora Egwuatu as such dismissed a suit filed by a Kano based lawyer Bulama Bukarti that had sought to compel the EFCC to investigate Ganduje for allegedly receiving bribes from a contractor.

In dismissing the suit, the judge affirmed that “even though where the affidavit deposed to, is not countered, it is deemed admitted, the evidence therein must be cogent and verifiable.”

According to him, the “provisions of Freedom of Information Act 2011, required that information requested must be a public record and in the custody of the instruction of organization so requested from.”

The judge as such dismissed the suit for lack of evidence.
