The reaction of the National leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu on the establishment of Amotekun has generated divided opinion on social media, especially Twitter.

Tinubu had been criticized in recent weeks for his silence over the controversy that trailed the establishment of Amotekun by South-West Governors.

However, the former governor of Lagos State, broke his silence on the issue, on Wednesday, in a statement, noting that the South-west regional security outfit will not undermine the unity of the country but address insecurity in the South-west states, while suggesting dialogue between the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and South-West Governors.

Minutes later Tinubu’s comment was available on public space, Nigerians, who reacted to the reaction on Twitter, expressed divergent opinions on Tinubu’s stand on the issue.
