Imo: Police Vow To Probe Mystery Fire At INEC Office

Tongues are wagging over the early morning fire that engulfed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC office at Orlu in Imo State on Monday.

GreenWhiteGreen gathered that fire destroyed the electoral umpire’s sensitive documents before it was put out.

Imo State Police spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu, said the Commissioner of Police in Imo State, Olaniyi Fafowora, has ordered an investigation into the incident.

The police spokesperson said, “I can confirm the incident to you but the cause of fire outbreak is unknown for now. The state commissioner of police has dispatched security operatives to the scene of the incident.

Crisis have engulfed the state following the Supreme Court’s ruling which declared Uzodinma as the governor in January.
