Stamford Bridge will be the cynosure of all eyes as Frank Lampard’s Chelsea take on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the fifth-round of the FA Cup. A Quarterfinals spot is up for grabs for the winner of this mouthwatering fixture.

The Reds will still be recovering from the shocking defeat to underdogs Watford in the Premier League and will be hoping for some form of respite with a win over the Blues.

For Chelsea, they have lost twice against Liverpool this season. The first defeat came in the UEFA Super Cup final when they lost on penalties. Another painful defeat was experienced again the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

A triumph over the champions-elect will satisfy Frank Lampard in a bid to revenge over the erstwhile defeats he has suffered in the hands of his German antagonist.

Liverpool are going to experience excruciating pain if they lose to Chelsea, on the grounds that elimination will be their fate. After setting a high standard in football at the moment, they have to live up to expectations.

However, it is a question of who wants it more at this stage. Chelsea are devoid of a trophy this season and Liverpool’s 34-point gap over Chelsea in the Premier League means it isn’t mathematically feasible for Chelsea to win the league.

Although,  Frank Lampard’s outfit has a host of injuries ahead of the match, with Andreas Christensen’s knocked out added to a list of injuries that includes Christian Pulisic, Callum Hudson-Odoi, N’Golo Kante and Tammy Abraham.

One change he could make to trigger the morale of his team is to recall Chelsea’s £71 million ($90m) record signing, Kepa Arrizabalaga, to the starting line-up after dropping him in recent weeks.
