A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Uche Nwosu, has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene in the crisis rocking the ruling party.

Nwosu who was the governorship  candidate of African Alliance, (AA) , in the 2019 governorship election in Imo State stressed that since  President Buhari is the father of the party  his intervention will resolve all grievances in the party.

He is also the son in law of former Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State.

Nwosu stressed that it is important  for President Buhari to wade into the crisis based on the respect he enjoys from party leaders in order to resolve the crisis.

Recall that a   Kano Federal High Court on Thursday set aside the earlier ruling by  the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT),   which suspended  Adams Oshiomhole as National Chairman of APC .

Nwosu who described the ongoing situation as embarrassing to the party believed that the early intervention of President Buhari would bring normalcy to the party.

He said, “It will take the intervention of the President as the leader of the party to restore peace and harmony in the party.

“The crisis in our party should not be allowed to continue beyond this that is why I am appealing to President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene as the father of the party and bring the warring factions together and resolve the issues.

“It is also obvious that it is only the President that can resolve the crisis in the Edo State chapter of the party ahead the governorship election.

“We need peace in all state chapters of the party to stay strong and deliver on the party’s manifesto,  the crisis should not be allowed to distract the President from delivering the Next Level Agenda which he is seriously committed to”.
