Sanusi Leaves Awe For Abuja

The deposed emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has left his place of banishment in Awe, Nasarawa State for Abuja.

He left with Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State who visited him earlier in the day and with whom he went for Jumat prayers in Awe.

The deposed monarch was given the honour of leading the jumat prayer. Before Governor El-Rufai arrived, Sanusi had gotten an order from the Federal High Court in Abuja for him to be freed from confinement in Awe.

Upon the order, Sanusi left Awe with El-Rufai. They are presently on the way to Abuja.
