Enugu Coronavirus Test Is Negative

The suspected case of Covid-19 suspected in Enugu from a woman who just returned from the United Kingdom has been returned as negative, the Enugu State ministry of health affirmed late on Sunday.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Health said that the test carried out on the sample was returned as negative.

The suspected case was from a woman who just returned from the United Kingdom and was said to have shown symptoms of infection with the coronavirus.

A statement issued by Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi, the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Health read thus:

“The Enugu State Ministry of Health hereby inform the general public that we have received the result of the investigation sent to IRUA Specialist Hospital which is further corroborated by Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as *NEGATIVE* .

“We hereby enjoin the general public to go about their normal business however to remain alert and vigilant observing basic personal health hygiene.”
