Coronavirus: PDP Under Fire For Holding Rally

Sharp criticisms have trailed the Peoples Democratic Party, unification rally, in Ibadan Oyo State where defectors from the All Progressives Congress, APC and other parties were welcomed to the party.

Many Nigerians have taken to the microblogging platform, Twitter, to lambast the party for allowing the rally in the midst of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.

Admist the Coronavirus fears, which had led to suspension of social gatherings and sports activities across the world, many Nigerians said they expected that the PDP should have suspended the rally to avert the spread of Coronavirus.

Social distancing and self insolation have been advised as preventive measures to curtail the spread of the virus.

At this moment the Nigeria had recorded 8 cases of the deadly pandemic.
