Alarm As Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Climb To 97

The number of coronavirus infections in the country was on Sunday morning near the precipice for community transmission as 16 new confirmed cases brought the total number of positive cases in the country to 97.

Of the 16 new cases reported on the 28th of March, two were in FCT, seven in Lagos, one in Kaduna, one in Osun, one in Benue and four were reported in Oyo

All the new cases according to the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, showed mild to moderate symptoms and are currently receiving care.

Governor Nassir El-Rufai of Kaduna State who is the confirmed case in Kaduna State said he had gone into self-isolation.

The total distribution of the cases in the states at the moment is as follow:
