Tax Man Recovers From COVID-19

Salihu Umar, the official of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, who had tested positive earlier has recovered.

He had disclosed on 23/03/20 that he had tested positive to the COVID-19 virus.

He has stated on his official Twitter handle that he tested negative to the first test on 05/04/20

“Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah. First NEGATIVE result out. They are to repeat the test in 48hrs. Your prayers have been answered. Thank you

“Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Second NEGATIVE result out. I am officially COVID19 free. Heading home in a bit. Thank you all for your prayers and support. We BEAT it together.”

A rumpus had earlier ensued when the FIRS had in the face of claims in the public that none of its officials was tested positive for coronavirus. However, Umar subsequently came out to claim he had tested positive.
