313 Cases Bring COVID-19 Tally To 7,839

Nigeria reported 313 new cases of COVID-19 across 17 states and the FCT on Sunday putting the total confirmed cases of the pandemic in the country at 7,839.

Five deaths were also reported by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC in its daily report on its twitter page late on Sunday.

Lagos continued to be the epicenter of the disease with the commercial capital reporting 148 New Cases in the state. That amounted to 47% of the total number of new cases in the country.

The Lagos State authorities had given inclination of the prospect of a spike in the state upon the claim that the state has ramped up testing for the disease across the state.
