12 Directors Suspended As EFCC Probe Continues

The secretary of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Olanipekun Olukoyede alongside 12 directors in the agency have been sent on leave, it was learnt on Wednesday.

The directive said to have emanated from President Muhammadu Buhari was allegedly on account of the ongoing investigations into the affairs of the suspended acting chairman of the anti-graft commission, Mr. Ibrahim Magu.

The order it was gathered emanated from the presidential panel carrying out the investigations.

The affected staff of the agency it was gathered were given the information by the acting chairman following a directive from the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
