Immigration Officer, Wife Kidnapped, Sister Killed!

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted an officer of Nigeria Immigration Service, Mr. Salisu Usman alongside his wife and shot dead his sister In-law in Gudi, Akwanga Local Government of Nasarawa State.

The State Police Public Relations Officer ( PPRO) Ramhan Nansel confirmed the incident to GWG on Wednesday through a telephone interview in Lafia.

According to him, the incident occurred on Tuesday at about 08: 45 pm in Gudi , the home town of the Governor of the state, Engr Abdullahi Sule.

“Yesterday at about 9:00 pm the Police received news that at about 8:45 pm unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers invaded the residence of one Mr Salisu Usman, who is an Immigration officer and kidnapped him alongside his wife.

“Unfortunately his wife’s sister who was also with them wanted to escape not knowing that they had stationed their men everywhere and she was shot.”

“The police took her to Ola Hospital in Gudi , Akwanga Local Government Area of the state before she was confirmed dead by the doctors “

He, however, said efforts were ongoing to rescue the people that were abducted persons.

The PPRO called on residents of the area to provide the police with useful information that will lead to the arrest of the kidnappers.
