Several complaints have greeted the mobile application designed by the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, to allow Nigerians print out their national identity cards.

The new mobile application by NIMC is available for download on Google Playstore and Apple store.

Those who had registered for national identification number (NIN) can view their national identity cards by inserting their NIM and registered phone number into the login template of the mobile app.

After successful login, personal details, including NIN and photograph will appear and can be subsequently be printed.

However, after the news of the NIMC mobile app, many Nigerians downloaded the mobile app, but the development has been greeted with complaints of errors.

Those who downloaded the mobile app earlier lamented the misplacement of their personal data and absence of passport photographs.

On Sunday morning, some Nigerians took to the microblogging platform, Twitter to post screenshots of their inability to download the mobile app, suggesting that the mobile app may have been removed.
