COVID-19 Storm Takes Mikel To Stoke

Former Nigeria captain and Chelsea midfielder, John Obi Mikel has joined English Championship side, Stoke City.
Mikel had returned to English football after a spell in the Turkish Super Lig with Trabzonspor.
His contract with Trabzonspor was terminated following his refusal to play due to the fear of COVID-19.
Obi had over 370 appearances for Chelsea, lifting Premier League trophy twice, as well as three FA Cups, the Champions League and Europa League.
Stoke Boss, Michael O’Neill said: “We’re delighted to bring John to the Club. His playing career speaks for itself and underlines his calibre as a player.”
