Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie has slammed Nigerians mourning the death of Hollywood star, Chadwick Boseman, saying they did not show him any support when he was sick for four years.

Boseman died on Friday, 28th August 2020 after a four-year battle with Grade III colon cancer.

His death was announced by his family, on Saturday, via his verified Twitter handle.

Boseman, who played the role of King T’Challa character in Black Panther, was mourned by many people across the globe.

Angela noted that when Boseman was sick and looked haggard, many Nigerians did not post his pictures on social media to show support and offer prayers but after his death, people started posting his pictures to mourn.

In a video, she posted on her Instagram page, the actress argued that when Boseman’s pictures in which he was looking weak appeared on the social media, it was dismissed as fake.

“When he was sick for four years, did you people post his pictures and pray for him? Now that he is now gone, you people started posting his pictures and crying. I thought you people said it is fake, ” she said in the video.

“In conclusion, People celebrate death

More than life, Celebrate life that is worth celebrating, Not when they are Gone. Especially people who have done alot to put smiles on your face.

“Don’t let low self esteem ,inferiority

Complex and hate eat you up,

All that epistle doesn’t really matter

when the person don’t get to see it

Too much hate in the world and I don’t know why, ” Angela captioned the video
