Wike Quarantined Under COVID-19 Rules – APC

Amid reactions over the forceful barricading of Governor Nyesom Wike by a detachment of policemen said to number about 300, the All Progressives Congress, APC has strongly rejected the claim.

The party in a response said that Governor Wike was quarantined under COVID-19 protocols.

Responding to the development, the APC Edo State in its official twitter handle said:

The party’s reaction nonetheless other commentators have alleged that the PDP while in government did the same thing to the opposition alleging that Governor Rotimi Amaechi was turned back from entering Ekiti State in 2014 for the governorship election that enthroned Ayodele Fayose for the second time as governor.

The PDP had on Friday evening alleged that the police had quarantined Governor Wike while at the same time leaving his contemporaries, Governors Abdullahi Ganduje and Hope Uzodinma of Kano and Imo States respectively to wander about.
