Yul Edochie Steps Into Burna Boy, Sowore Spat

Nigerian actor and politician, Yul Edochie has dismissed Burna Boy’s excuse of lack of trust in politicians for not taking a position on poor governance in the country.
Responding to the singer’s excuse for rejecting Omoyele Sowore’s invitation to join the October 1 protest against poor governance, Edochie quipped that Burna Boy should do his part and should not rely on politicians for whatever he needs to do.
Burna Boy and Sowore had engaged in heated conversation on the social media, after the publisher invited the artiste to join the October 1, nationwide protest.
Responding to Sowore’s invitation to protest, Burna Boy argued that he does not trust Nigerians politicians, hence he can join a protest organized by Sowore, journalist cum politicians.
The clash between the duo had sparked mixed reactions on the social media.
Commenting, Yul Edochie said Burna Boy does not need to trust Nigerian politicians before speaking against bad governance, noting that “Our country isn’t working & it’s the duty of every real man to lend his voice to the struggle.”
The actor wrote, “To my brother @burnaboy I’m a big fan of yours, you are one of the greatest. But that aside, I want to let you know that you don’t have to trust politicians before you speak up.”
