2 Police Trainers Sacked After Impregnating 15 Female Cadets

Two police training instructors are facing sanctions after being accused of impregnating a total of 15 female cadets in a police training school in Mozambique.

They were alleged to have harassed the students into having sexual relationships with them.

The Mozambican Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Helena Kida said the two men have been expelled by the government.

The two were accused of sexual abuse meted upon 15 women trainees at the Matalana police practical school, on the outskirts of Maputo town.

“The two have so far been expelled from the corporation and a culmination of the disciplinary proceedings instituted against them. They have been accused of sexual harassments which led to 15 trainees becoming pregnant,” stated Kida

Meanwhile, the Mozambique Police Association has demanded justice for the women.

They have also been assured by the Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi of continuation of training at a future date despite having their training course cut short.
