Three days after their meeting to review security in the north was disrupted by armed thugs, the Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG is set to confront President Muhammadu Buhari in his holiday base in Daura, Katsina State.

The coalition which had lately taken up the crusade for northern interests in the polity is vowing that it would not allow the North to be overtaken by bandits and kidnappers.

The group’s members according to Daily Trust have started converging in Katsina to agitate for the release of the hundreds of boys kidnapped from Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State.

The group is agitating under the hashtag #Bringbackourboys.

After converging in Katsina, the group’s members according to its spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman will proceed to Daura to convey their desires to the president who is holidaying in his country home.

While observing the massive deployment of security men on account of the increased tension following the abductions, he said:

“It will be unreasonable to expect any northerner and well-meaning Nigerian to fold their arms and watch the north, a significant component of the country, abandoned to the mercy of bandits, murderers and kidnappers,” he said.
