“When some of us escaped the attack, my convoy drove to a nearby village called Kwanar Maska and inquired whether there are policemen and  I was told there was none unless I go to Funtua.

“I then proceeded to the area commander office in Funtua and met an officer on duty and introduced my self.”

“I was told that the Area commander wasn’t around.

“I had to talk to him through phone call. He said I should talk to DPO which I did through phone call also.

“The DPO said they would assign an Armoured Personnel Carrier with some men to go and recover the bodies of the slain officers and other people.

“This had happened about two hours after the attack.

” I had to called the General Officer Commanding 8 Division Maj. Gen. Aminu Bande  and requested for his assistance, who promptly sent troops from Special Army Super Camp Faskari and from a nearby sector”

” On their arrival to Funtua, they moved straight to the scene, they secured and cordoned the area until daybreak, but sadly all the Eight people were killed,” the Emir said.
