The violent protest that erupted in the United States Capitol building on Wednesday has elicited strong comments from Nigerians who are asking President Donald Trump to learn from Jonathan, the exemplary democratic qualities demonstrated by Nigeria’s immediate past president.

GWG reports that President Trump had addressed his followers made a vow “never to concede”.  At least four were reported dead from the incidents that followed the invasion.

This development has elicited reactions as some social media commentators are of the view that President Trump to borrow a leaf from Jonathan who was once quoted as saying that his political ambition was not worth the blood of any Nigerian.

GWG recalls that Jonathan had placed a call to Buhari to concede defeat even when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was still collating the result.

However, President Trump has refused to do the same after he lost to the Democrat candidate, Joe Biden. GWG brings some reactions of how some commentators who are asking Trump to learn from Jonathan.
