Acclaimed Yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has rebuffed the claim of a past political alliance with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and challenged Senator Babafemi Ojudu to bring evidence to back his claim. Igboho emphatically denied any or past deals with Tinubu, the acclaimed national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Igboho speaking after visiting his house that was partly burnt by unknown arsonists early on Tuesday, Igboho rejected the claims of being a political thug as he dubbed the presidential aide a liar.

Ojudu had alleged in a write-up that Igboho had a secret meeting with Tinubu sometime in 2009 during which the political leader dissuaded him from being used by political elements to disrupt the rescheduled supplementary governorship election.

Denying past deals with Tinubu, as claimed by Ojudu on Tuesday morning, Igboho said:

“I don’t know him, he is a liar, I was not trained by Baba Adedibu, Senator Ladoja is my boss and I have never betrayed him,” he said as he dared the presidential aide to use his children to swear in backing his claim.

“It is a plot to distract me and give me a bad name, I never collected money from politicians to do this and it is painful that politicians are conniving with Fulani to distract us but I will never be distracted.”

“From my investigation about him, I have found out he has no impact as a Commissioner in Lagos and as a senator in Ekiti, what are his achievements? How many people did he help, how many projects did he facilitate? It was Fayose that achieved many things in Ekiti, tell Ojodu to caution himself.”

Besides rebuffing past deals with Tinubu, Igboho also responded to the attack on his house. He said they broke the gate to gain entrance, while the two persons in the house fled from the scene to avoid being killed.

He estimated the value of destruction on the property at about N50m.

“When the fire started, they called me and by the time I got there, the arsonists have run away. They are cowards; why can’t they come to where I live, you would have seen evidence because they won’t escape,” he boasted.
