BREAKING: North Lifts Food Blockade Against South
Northern food merchants have resolved to lift the food blockade on the South with immediate effect.
The decision by the Cattle and foodstuff dealers under the aegis of Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria followed the intervention of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State who intervened into face-off according to sources.

With the decision the food merchants would immediately start supplying food to the south.

While food prices shot up in the south, farmers in the north were in deep agony as they did not find the markets for their produce. Tomatoes, onions and other perishable farm produce were made to perish and where not saw their prices plummet.
