El-Rufai, Amaechi And The Many Tales On Hadiza Bala Usman

Conspiracy theories were on Friday morning trending on social media after President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the suspension of powerful APC girl, Ms. Hadia Bala Usman as managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA.
Ms Bala Usman according to the presidency was asked to go on suspension upon the recommendation of the Federal Ministry of Transportation, to allow extensive investigation into the affairs of the NPA.
Ms Bala Usman who is a political goddaughter of Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, according to initial speculations on Twitter was suspended on the basis of frosty relations between the Kaduna governor and Mr. Rotimi Amaechi, the minister of transportation. Amaechi and El-Rufai ironically had been known to have a political relationship from before the 2015 election and there had been political permutations of the two running on a joint ticket in 2023.
Those speculations subsequently gave way to the claim that Ms. Bala Usman was fired on the basis of a tweet she made sometime in February after the kidnap of more than 300 school girls from the Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, in Zamfara State.
She had tweeted on February 27, 2021
Many on Friday alleged that the tweet was what got her into trouble and marked her as a target in the evolving power struggle.
Her suspension nonetheless, many claimed that she had brought some finesse to the operations of the NPA as some put aside political bias to praise her.

Sacking Hadiza Bala Usman at this time makes me wonder if we truly want reforms in Nigeria. She has been doing amazingly well. I just hope this is not a 2023 miscalculation. Nigerian ports authority has been different under her administration.
However, the praise was not universal as some mocked her, tasking her to go back to her activism for the return of the Chibok School girls.
However, one twitter user was particularly vicious against her saying that she must have been very incompetent for a Buhari who does not sack people based on what the Twitter claimed as Buhari’s low competence to have also sacked her!

Hadiza Bala Usman has been suspended to join her BBOG colleagues back later in the evening. Her only achievement was going after Atiku while ignoring her primary duty. It takes extra incompetence to be suspended by an incompetent Buhari. Either recommended by Amaechi or not.
The suspension of Hadiza Bala Usman also drew in comments from those who had issues with the minister of digital technology, Dr. Isa Pantami. There were those who alleged that Bala Usman was suspended to allow for investigations into issues raised against her but that Pantami despite his confessions of his past deeds in relating with and supporting terrorists was allowed to hold on.

Hadiza Bala Usman has been suspended “for ongoing investigations” (that may find her innocent). ISA Pantami remains in office despite all the evidence against him by himself. They are not only bigotry, they are also misogynistic.
There were also some pokes on the fact that she was replaced by a Northern Muslim, a claim projecting allegations of nepotism raised against the Buhari administration.

President Buhari or rather (the Presidency) instantly approved Mohammed Koko (another northerner) to replace her. Now recall; Hadiza Bala Usman & Aunty Oby’s BBOG were used to bring down Goodluck Jonathan. While Hadiza was rewarded with NPA, Oby went home empty-handed, USED!

The news of FG suspending Hadiza Bala Usman still got me lost in thoughts. The fact that @hadizabalausman is refined and dedicated in discharging her civil duties as the NPA boss saving the country billions is enough to turn a deaf ear to any false allegation used against her.
