How Fuel Tanker Exploded Early Tuesday Morning At Egbeda Area Of Lagos
In the early hours of Tuesday, a diesel-laden tanker blew up in flames at Egbeda, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos.
The state emergency team, after a thorough investigation on the sad incident, concluded that a fully loaded tanker with diesel lost control due to brake failure. The tanker fell off and blew up in flames.

The firefighters tried all they could to put the fire out as it burnt all night.
Confirming the news, Dr. Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) mentioned that the tanker exploded around 1:18am.
Oke-Osanyintolu said the tanker was loaded with fuel when it exploded in the middle of the night, although he couldn’t say if the fire destroyed nearby houses.
Sources claim the explosion of the tanker took place at Banire Bus Stop, Egbeda inward Ikotun. And that since it happened in the early hours of Tuesday day, they are unable to say if casualties were recorded.
“Investigation conducted by the Team upon arrival at the scene revealed a fully loaded tanker with diesel had a break failure, lost control and fell off the road leading to an explosion and fire outburst.
“However, no casualties recorded nor any properties razed in the unfortunate inferno.
“The fire has been successfully subdued by men of the LASEMA LRU Fire service and LASG Fire service while dampening down is ongoing,” he said.
