Former Lagos state governor and national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has personally rebuffed stories of his ill-health or death, declaring himself fit as a fiddle.

He spoke when he received Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in London, United Kingdom.

“I’m fit like a fiddle,” Tinubu was quoted as telling his visitor.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that news reports at the weekend had alleged that Tinubu was ill and had undertaken a medical procedure in Maryland and was waiting for another procedure.

The reports about Tinubu, however, did not give any significant details on the alleged ill-health despite the insinuation that he was at the point of death. .

The reports were, however, trounced by his spokesman, Tunde Rahman who said that it had become the fashion of some elements in the media to speculate on Tinubu’s health anytime he travelled out of the country.

Reacting to the reports which were first published by Saharareporters quoting what it claimed as confidential sources, that Tinubu was at the point of death, Rahman had said:

“His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is fine. He is hale and hearty. He is not in any hospital. He has no medical problem that would require hospitalization.

“Yes, he is out of the country at the moment. He will be back shortly. Anytime he travels out of the country, the next thing some mischievous people would say is he is sick, hospitalized or has died.

“It is shameful that perpetrators of this evil are not deterred by the fact that each time this fake news has been propagated, they have been proven wrong.

“Who really is afraid of Asiwaju Tinubu? Those wishing Asiwaju Tinubu evil or dead should be careful. They should know the matter of life and death is in the hand of only God Almighty,” Rahman said in dismissing the reports of the former Lagos State governor being near the point of death.
