A 41-year-old man, Emmanuel Ndifreke, who allegedly circulated a lady’s nude pictures on Thursday appeared in a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The charge in Lagos came on the same day that a Sharia Court in Kaduna ordered a lady to pay a N16,000 debt owed to another lady by September 30, 3021.

The police in Lagos had charged Ndifreke with unlawful capturing and circulation of nude pictures. How he captured the lady’s nakedness was, however, not disclosed in court.

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Rita Momah, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 5, within the Lagos magisterial district.

She alleged that the defendant released the nude photos of Miss Mercy Waidi on social media, this humiliating her.

The offence, she said contravened the provisions of Section 58(c) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties each in like sum.

Olatunbosun adjourned the case until Sept 20.

Away from Lagos where a man was charged for circulating a lady’s nude picture, a Shari’a court sitting in Rigasa, Kaduna also on Thursday ordered a woman, Ramatu Muhammad to pay N16,000 to her business partner,  Hauwa’u Isma’il.

The judge,  Salisu Abubakar-Tureta, gave the order while delivering a ruling after Isma’il prayed the court to recover her money from Muhammad.

He granted the defendant’s prayer to pay the money  in installments.

“The defendant will pay N8,000 on Aug. 31 and pay the remaining N8,000 by Sept. 30″, he said.

Earlier, the Isma’il, who is a widow said the defendant collected fabrics and rice worth N16,000 in 2020 and refused to pay the money.

She said she tried all peaceful means to get her money but to no avail .

In her defence, the defendant said she knew about the money and had intention of paying.

She prayed the court to give her time to pay back the money
