Afenifere Chieftain, Sen Durojaye Is Dead

A leader of the Afenifere and Senator on the platform of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in 1999, Senator Olabiyi Durojaye has been reported dead at the age of 88.

The death of the Fourth Republic lawmaker was confirmed in a post on the Facebook page of Adegbenro Adebanjo, ex-Chief Press Secretary to former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

According to the post, Senator Durojaiye died after a brief illness in Lagos while receiving treatment.

He had served as Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
