Ayirimi Emami in court

Suspense over the fate of Chief Ayirimi Emami as a Warri chief and Ologbotsere is to end Saturday, September 4, 2021 when he is scheduled to appear before the new Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III for his revalidation.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG had reported that the well loved Olu of Warri had in line with tradition set a schedule for all 71 Warri chiefs to be revalidated.

The process involves the Olu returning the beads to each of the 71 chiefs as are listed in Warri.

The process commenced on Thursday with 10 of the 14 chiefs being revalidated.

However, every eye is on the fate of Chief Ayirimi Emami who challenged the emergence of Ogiame Atuwatse III as the new Olu and went as far as challenging the process in court.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG had reported that on the day of the coronation that Chief Ayirimi Emami rather travelled the 940 kilometers journey from Warri to Bichi in Kano State to attend the coronation of Alhaji Nasir Bayero as emir of Bichi.

Chief Ayirimi Emami as Ologbotsere of Warri Kingdom, the highest chief in the land was nowhere to play his role or pay his dues as required by custom on a day that the new Olu captivated the world with a well applauded coronation address.

It is not known if Chief Ayirimi has since recanted but  GreenWhiteGreen GWG can confirm that his publicists on social media have toned down bringing a suspense as to his new position.

However, few expect Chief Ayirimi to present himself on Saturday, a day he is also expected to mop up political resources at the All Progressives Congress, APC Local Government Area congresses.

Ayirimi who is listed as suspended is number one among the 11 chiefs who are expected to present themselves for the validation exercise according to the notice by Ogiame Atuwatse III.

In the schedule 10 chiefs who are either temporary or permanently outside Nigeria are to present themselves through some other proxies or manner as may be approved by the Olu for validation.
