President Muhammadu Buhari’s trousers worn to Owerri,  Imo State continued to provoke debate on Friday, a day after the eventful visit of the Nigerian leader to the Southeast state.

The issue took a different dimension on Friday morning when the ladies of Your View, the popular TVC morning programme expressed shock at the pair of trousers worn by Buhari to Imo State.

While it was the general opinion of the ladies that the trousers were unfitting, they were, however, not in agreement on what should be done on the issue.

The chief host, Morayo Afolabi-Brown who was particularly touched by the issue of Buhari’s trousers and felt that the tailor who sewed the trousers should be sanctioned for making the Nigerian leader into an object of fashion ridicule.

The views of the ladies were, however, sharply countered by the thespian, Yul Edochie who in a You Tube interview sharply rebuked those giving the issue of Buhari’s trouser unnecessary traction. According to the actor, there were far more important issues on ground.

“Who cares about his trousers? Buhari’s trousers should be the least of our problems in this country. it shouldn’t even be one of our problems. Dollar is 540 naira now, right now. When he got into power it was 2160, today it is 540.

“Prices of everything has gone up, everything has gone up. I don’t know how people are surviving. Nigerians are dying of hunger, robbery everything, insecurity, the country is in pieces. Who cares about his trousers. Na wa for u people o!

“Buhari can wear any kind of trouser he likes, if he likes make he no wear trouser, just do the work. Do your job, fix this country, do the job that you told us that you were going to do, make your people happy, wear any kind of trouser, who cares,” Edochie said in rejecting the crave to turn Buhari’s trousers into an issue.
