Super Eagles forward Kelecho Iheanacho opened the scoring as Leicester City threw a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Palace had started the contest brightly, testing Kasper Schmeichel numerous times inside the opening quarter of the game as Wilfried Zaha poured forward to great effect.

Iheanacho put Leicester 1-0 up in the 31st minute, he robbed Andersen of possession, raced through on goal, and finished beyond Guaita in goal.

Palace had only began to regain their composure when the Foxes added a second. This time, Joel Ward was caught infield before Harvey Barnes released Vardy inside the penalty area. The forward gave Guaita the eyes before cooly reversing his finish into the bottom corner to double the Foxes’ advantage.

However, Palace rallied in the second half. Odsonne Edouard struck the bar from the edge of the penalty area before substitute Micheal Olise halved the deficit on the hour mark.

Patrick Vieira then sent on Schlupp in place of Conor Gallagher, with the former Fox heading home Palace’s equaliser following a scramble inside the Leicester penalty box.
