Festus Keyamo, Great Ogboru and others aligned with them in the Delta APC Leaders Council are a bunch of paper tigers bent on destroying the party from within for the benefit of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP administration it was alleged on Sunday.

Responding to the communique of the Keyamo led Delta APC Leaders Council following what was claimed as a meeting with the enlarged State Working Committee, the leadership of the party in the state described the Keyamo group as impostors now allegedly working in cahoots with the Okowa administration in Delta State.

GreenWhiteGreen GWG had quoted the Keyamo led group as calling  on interested stakeholders to impress on the Ovie Omo-Agege led mainstream in the state to stop alleged plans to sideline party faithful who do not subscribe to Omo-Agege’s leadership.

The group in their communique had firmly vowed not to kowtow to the dictates of one man whom they claimed had cornered all party structures towards satisfying his political aspirations.

But rejecting the communique in a statement approved by the State Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Prophet Jones Ode Erue and signed by the APC Director of Publicity, Nick Ovuakporie the party advised Nigerians especially the people of Delta State to ignore Keyamo and those aligned to him saying they were drowning and determined to bring down the roof.

The statement stated “we as a party are not surprised as to the motivation behind the communique of a fake contraption by the name ‘Delta APC Leader’s Council’ going about issuing arbitrary statements in the name of the APC and deceiving the gullible public with their falsehood, as same has been the antics of the confused and directionless group”.

Noting that the Keyamo group was confused, the APC said:

“These are people who publicly denounced and dubbed the Governor Mai-Malam Buni led CECPC as illegal and dragged the National Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee before a Delta State High Court in addition to other pockets of court cases they instituted across various courts, yet calling on same CECPC to nullify the transparently conducted congresses and conduct a fresh one to suit their selfish aspirations and appetite, a joke taken too far by the deceptive Keyamo led 19 member illegal group.”

“The party not only described Festus Keyamo, Eugene Okolocha, Mariam Ali, Cairo Ojuogboh, Terry Okorodudu and other signatories as a cacophonic assemblage of newspaper tigers, men of straw, clay-footed giants but members of a moronic cycle working for the PDP and born spoilers who do not serve or add value to anything they are involved in and must not be taken seriously.

“The party wishes to further reinforce its position that Festus Keyamo and his co-travellers are working for the PDP having got credible intelligence of an unwritten pact between this satanic and amorphous group with Okowa and the PDP which they agreed should be implemented in phases as they defect one after the other, to the PDP starting with the defection of Hon. Monday Igbuya, an impeached former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, who is presently set to ditch the Party as part of their grand design.

“The party described the activities of these group of political infantile jesters whose acclaimed membership of the APC, is suspicious owing to their brazen actions of anti-party activities and acts of insubordination to the National Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) under the able leadership of His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, which they have derided in various fora as unacceptable.

“The APC reiterates the fact that there was no court injunction granted against the conduct of the ongoing nationwide congresses in Delta State as falsely being alluded to by the confused Festus Keyamo’s led 19 man fake Council.

“It is also pertinent to state here that these group of noise makers who are already on their way out of the APC sponsored a candidate in the September 11 Isoko South Constituency 1 bye-election under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as part of the unholy pact between them and the PDP to destabilize the APC in Delta State in order to ensure its failure in the bye election.

“It is on record also that the said SDP candidate was funded by these party renegades and openly campaigned for by known personal aides of these self-styled members of the illegal Delta APC Leader’s Council with video evidence, in compliance with their agreement with the PDP before their eventual defection.”

The party vowed to continue to expose the shenanigans and underhand dealings of these dissidents who are hell-bent to disorganize its activities from within its folds, before their complete defection to the PDP.
