Ruma, Chief Of The Yar`Adua Cabal Dies In London

A former minister of Agriculture and Water Resources, Dr Abba Sayyadi Ruma who was also generally renowned as the foot soldier of the cabal during the President Umaru Yar`Adua administration has died at 59.

Daily Trust gathered that Ruma died in a London hospital.

Confirming the demise of Ruma, his uncle and Danwairen Katsina, Alhaji Sada Salisu Ruma, said late Sayyadi had battled diabetes for a long time before he eventually passed away on Wednesday morning.

Born on March 13, 1962, late Ruma was an influential minister during the administration of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua having first served as a commissioner and later as Secretary to the State Government in the Yar`Adua administration in Katsina State.

Aged 59, the late Ruma is survived by two wives and nine children.

Meanwhile, the news that Ruma died at 59 came following the news that the Katsina state Police command has fixed Oct. 29 and 30 for the conduct of a Computer Based Test (CBT) as part of the constables’ recruitment process in the state, according to a statement  issued to newsmen, on Monday, in Katsina, by the command’s spokesperson, SP Gambo Isah.

“This is to inform the general public that the ongoing recruitment of police constables into the NPF will continue with the CBT.

“The test is scheduled to take place on Oct. 29 and 30, 2021, at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University and the Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic from 8am to 3pm.
