Dry season comes every year in Nigeria between the months of November and March. It comes with its attendant health challenges.  For one to stay healthy during the period, the following steps must be taken,

Avoid exposure to hot whether

Medical experts reveal that those that are exposed to hot weather stand the risk of developing skin cancer, freckles, which are small light brown patches on the skin, mottled pigmentation, among others.

Take enough water

Taking enough water should help to avoid dehydration in the body and signs of dehydration include yellow urine, headache, and muscle cramps, fatigue, less urination, light-headedness and constipation. Experts recommend that people should take up to five liters of water during dry season in order to stay hydrated and keep healthy .

Wear protective clothing

It is better for people to wear protective clothing, like long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, and hats that are broad wide, so as to protect the face, scalp and ears from the hot weather. This would help to keep their skin fresh and avoid irritation and wrinkles, especially for the children because they have low immunity to reckon with.

Avoid bush burning

Bush burning can attract rodents to enter homes for protection and live with humans and deposit excreta on floors, tables, beds and foods which  can cause Lassa fever. Maintaining a clean environment instead of bush burning can keep one safe and healthy during the dry season.
