Tortured 80-Year-Old Edo PDP Chief Gets Money For Treatment, Prays For Orbih

National vice-chairman, South-South of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Orbih has sent a delegation with money to ensure the immediate treatment of 80-year old Pa Samuel Dania, Vice Chairman of the party in Ward 8 of Akoko-Edo LGA, Edo State following the torture he and other party chiefs took from some thugs recently.

The delegation comprising of Senatorial leaders of the party in the state said that they came on behalf of Orbih who was not around to express solidarity with him and the other party chieftains who were reportedly assaulted on the position they took in the rejection of the harmonisation of the party structures in the state.

 GreenWhiteGreen GWG reports that the attack has been flayed from across the polity with Governor Godwin Obaseki, the PDP leadership in the state and Chief Orbih all condemning the brutalization of the elderly vice-chairman.

The team led by the State Vice Chairman, North, Hon Segun Saiki, the Local Govt Party Chairman, Hon Kayode Ogunubi, Dele Elempe, Women leaders and others expressed solidarity with Pa Dania and on behalf of Orbih urged him to remain steadfast on his convictions and beliefs concerning internal party democracy.

The 80 year-old tortured PDP ward vice chairman and his family in their response prayed for Chief Orbih, pledged his loyalty to the party and vowed to uphold his position on internal party democracy in Edo State.

 Governor Obaseki had in his reaction to the attack vowed that the perpetrators would be investigated and sanctions where applicable would be effected. The party had also asked the security agencies to find out the brains behind the attack.
