Buhari Mourns As Famed Demon Destroyer, Ezekiel, PFN Pioneer Leader, Dies

The General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission (CPM), Rev (Dr) Obiora Ezekiel, who was the pioneer leader of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN has died with President Muhammadu Buhari leading tribute. The late Ezekiel was famed as a demon destroyer on account of his doggedness in spiritual warfare.

The popular cleric’s death was announced in a statement by CPM Coordinator, Rev. John Ezeh, on Sunday, November 21, 2021.

According to Ezeh, before his demise a few days ago, Rev Ezekiel, who is survived by his wife and children, had urged his members to keep the vision alive and the fire burning.

The statement read in part:

”Before his departure, he had been telling us to keep the vision alive, and the fire burning: that the mantle is with us; the glory is with us while he goes to wait for us to come over when the time is ripe.

”This was a man whose doggedness in the gospel gave him a title, “Demon Destroyer”; the man who is best known as a teacher of divine nature. He has left his mantle with us to continue where he stopped to move CPM to the next level.

”He came, he saw, he conquered, and triumphantly he left Transform Triumphantly, our General, till we meet at Jesus’ feet,” he added.

Mourning the deceased CPM leader, Ezekiel, President Buhari said he believed the religious leader, who was the founder of the ministry, had demonstrated love, peace and joy in pursuing his passion for soul winning.

He added that the deceased had also worked assiduously for the growth and spread of the gospel within and outside Nigeria, holding outreaches.

The President noted the late General Overseer’s role in raising many spiritual sons, who had also moved on to mentor pastors, evangelists, and teachers, commending his vision for founding the PFN.

President Buhari called for prayers for the family of the departed CPM leader, particularly his wife and spiritual partner, Rev Mercy Ezekiel, praying that the Almighty God would receive the soul of the renowned evangelist.
