Nigerians Mourn ‘Funniest Yoruba Actor,’ Baba Suwe

Nigerians received the news of the death of legendary Yoruba actor, Babatunde Omidina aka Baba Suwe who passed on Monday after battling an illness at the age of 63 with great shock and sadness.

His death was confirmed by his son Adesola Omidina on his Instagram page.

Reacting to the news, some Nigerians took to social media to honour the late screen comic, mourning his death and celebrating his achievements in life.

Baba Suwe remains my best Yoruba comic actor of all time.
There was a time Yoruba movie producers must include his picture in film posters, in order to advertise their films.

It pains me to the bone to hear that Babasuwe is DEAD!!!

That thespian was a legend who was not celebrated enough, instead he was abused by NDLEA which led to his inability to do anything useful again in life.
