Gbajabiamila Mum As Outrage Mounts Over Wife’s N12m Fashion Statement

Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has kept mum as diverse reactions mostly dwelling on the eccentric continue to mount over wife, Salamatu’s N12 million fashion outlay as revealed in a Twitter post.

A move by her defenders to drag in the wife of Atiku Abubakar and former petroleum minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke failed to get traction as Nigerians frowned at the N12 million four fashion items that they said did not fit her and fit the mood of the society.A twitter user, Frank had estimated four of the fashion outfit worn by Salamatu Gbajabiamila including the handbag put at Handbag: £1,995 or $2,661= N1,463,550, a coat put at $4,800= N2,640,000, a Wristwatch: $11,000= N6,050,000 and a shoe estimated at $3,500= N1,925,000.

The other accessories donned by Salamatu Gbajabiamila were not estimated but the Twitter user was able to estimate four of the designer items from fashion catalogues.

While an overwhelming majority of comments were adversarial, there were a few which sought to make excuses for the lady.

Besides questioning the moral issues involved, many took exceptions with the fashion sense of Salamatu Gbajabiamila, the Speaker’s wife.
