While it was alleged that the suspected rapist has been suspended, human right activist, Julie Ooja told Newsmen that she tried to take the case up but the school authority claimed it was being handled administratively.

Ooja said;

“Our hands were tied; we couldn’t do much because the ministry refrained us and the parents didn’t give us a lee way to match it on.”

The state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Mike Gusa however announced in a press conference in Makurdi, that the state government has taken up the matter by asking the appropriate government institution to investigate the case.

Gusa said;

“We have written a letter of complaint to the police and the Director of SSS in the state to carry out a discreet investigation into the matter and verify the veracity of the case.’’
