Nigerians Agree, As Man Highlights Single Benefit Of COVID-19 Pandemic
As absurd as it might sound, a Twitter user @asemota has revealed the one benefit of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a Tweet, he revealed the benefit to be financial for those involved in carrying out COVID-19 tests.
He said in his tweet, COVID tests are BIG business!!! Better than crypto. In one week we have spent $600 (N342,000) on tests for three trips.
In reaction to his Tweet, other users agreed and spoke of their own expenses in carrying out COVID-19 tests, others pointed that COVID-19 in general, not just the testing presented a huge cashout for some, from vaccine producers to PPE producers.
Here are some of the reactions gathered to the tweet.
@iamboum3jr Been travelling for 4 weeks clocking in 800 USD already.
@SAkinseloyin It is a new economy. 344 covid outlets are registered on http://gov.uk with varying prices for Day 2 and 8 test. It has become all about the business,no longer science.
@NwekeGospel Actually Covid is huuge biz. Read an article Pfizer suggesting a 4th booster shot and maybe a booster shot every year! Big pharma stocks are up by astronomical margins. That’s why it may never end!
@saniyusuf The ultimate yahoo
@ugxmxz COVID is trillion dollars business enterprise and it will not go soon. Ask Buhari and his governors, they share billions of palliative amongst themselves.
@VNUwaifo COVID-419
@David_jodeci Now someone tell why we won’t have a new variant every weekend like EPL games. Well, the nonsense will stop when people wake up, whenever that is.
@AkhereBlessing @bigcea202 Remember I told you this is a business that has come to stay. I spent over 180k Naira on COVID test alone travelling from Accra to Lagos and Lagos to Accra.
@doncontra I’d seriously like to know the margin on these tests. The ones I did on a recent trip is still paining me till date
@LordFutures Opening a test center prior to this new variant is the crypto equivalent of buying the dip.
