Reactions As Gbajabiamila Tells Buhari, ‘Nigerians Are Proud Of You’

Nigerians on social media have objected to the statement credited to the Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, where he said Nigerians are proud of President Buhari.

Gbajabiamila made the statement in a birthday message to President Buhari who clocked 79 on Friday.

The Speaker said, “Mr President, Nigeria and Nigerians are proud of you. The way you have been steering the ship of the Nigerian state has been commendable. I, therefore, join millions of our compatriots to wish you a happy birthday and more years in good health,” the Speaker said.

Following the statement, social media users took to their platforms, reacting differently. Most rejected the claim by Gbajabiamila that they were proud of President Buhari, asking the Speaker to speak for himself.
